With three Canadian bestsellers under my belt, I know what makes a great story. I teach creative writing at the University of Toronto School of Continuing Studies and have five years’ experience as an editor, helping authors refine their creative work for a broader audience. I work with established and emerging authors to help them prepare their work for submission or self-publication. Below, you'll find a list of editorial services that I provide to my clients.

Query Evaluation
I’ll take a look at your query letter and provide meaningful feedback. This service includes up to three rounds of revisions.
Synopsis Evaluation
I’ll read through the first two single-spaced pages of your synopsis and provide meaningful feedback. This service is for two single-spaced pages of your synopsis.
First Ten Pages
I will provide an in-depth analysis of the first ten pages of your manuscript, looking for improvements that can be made on the structural, developmental and grammatical levels. This edit will include feedback on your use of dialogue, pacing, characterization and flow, and will give you concrete feedback that you can take into consideration for the rest of your manuscript.
Partial Manuscript Evaluation
I will evaluate the opening 25,000 words of your novel and offer practical advice that you can use to improve the rest of your manuscript. With special attention paid to plot, characterization, pacing, dialogue, point of view, and more, I will combine developmental and line editing to give you detailed, comprehensive feedback and editorial suggestions.
Consultation: $100/hour

If we decide to work together, I’ll send you an email with more details, including my rates, a short contract to protect your work, and instructions on how to pay for my services via Paypal. All payments must be received in advance so I can reserve your place in my client queue and give you an estimated date of completion for your work.

Your work is your own, and I respect your privacy to the utmost -- this is in my best interest as well as yours! If we choose to work together I'll ask you to sign a contract protecting your property. I will not share your work with anyone, and everything that we discuss will be strictly confidential.
